SAMMY HANSON

Sammy Hanson is a jazz pianist with over 18 years of experience. A recent graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance, Sammy is now based in Atlanta, Georgia. He has performed extensively throughout the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, Tallahassee, and beyond.

Sammy has competed twice in the Savannah Swing Central Jazz Festival, the Essentially Ellington competition at Lincoln Center, and the Jack Rudin Jazz Championship, and has also performed at Carnegie Hall, and the US Embassy in Costa Rica. His 2025 debut album showcases his improvisational approach, with music created live—making each performance a unique and special experience.
